LOGIN FOR RADIOLOGISTConference and Education Center

The La Quinta Imaging Center is a complete outpatient medical facility, offering the Coachella Valley residents and visitors with state of the art medical diagnosis capabilities, plus a 3,000 square foot conference and education center.

The Center provides a comprehensive educational resource in diagnostic imaging, with special emphasis placed on digital teaching materials, for residents, technologists, students, and physicians. By special arrangement, the facility and resources are also available to professional visitors and members of the community.

The Education Center consists of a digital study room complete with multi-media computers with large, high-resolution monitors. These computers are capable of quickly displaying and manipulating images from a variety of digital sources. The room also boasts a large variety of digital (CD based) educational collections. In addition, the Center offers a video production studio capable of shooting live- to-tape medical technology and specialty physician interviews. The La Quinta Imaging Center works closely with Becky Alfrey Productions, Inc. to provide the community with enhanced video replication for a wide variety of medical and educational concerns. Our primary goal will be to educate the public on the fact that general health, medical technology and treatment plans can, and should be viewed as a positive, reinforcing element in ones’ life.

For continuing public education, our facility will also offer a forum for physicians to conduct tumor boards and multidisciplinary clinics. The centerpiece of any clinical cancer program stems from the tumor boards round-table discussions, consisting of specialists from Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology and Pathology. This group of highly trained specialists routinely evaluates and discusses patients for whom a multidisciplinary approach is being considered for treatment. An important element of continuing public education will be the Center’s ability to work with Beck Alfrey Productions, Inc. to film these tumor board meetings. The live video tape will then be accessible for review by the patient, family, and friends for a better understanding of the specialist’s recommendations.
